Vampires & Ghouls

Vampires

A mutation gone wrong, or the next evolution? A curse from God or a gift from the devil? No. Vampires are sin, the amalgamation of the greatest sin of all, magic. They used magic to become immortal, to stave off heavenly judgment for good on the backs of humanity. To be a vampire is to be the ultimate egoist.

Traits

Madness

Ambition is like hunger, it can be fulfilled, but it always returns.

You have what’s called Sanity. It guides your need to fulfill your Ambitions

Staking

The blood is strong, very strong, it wants to keep you alive. To stop you, one must first stop your heart.

If you would lose during a Conflict against an opponent with a Stake, that opponent can choose to Paralyze you. You can die while Staked.

This Paralyzed Condition lasts as long as the Stake is in your heart.

Starvation

Eternal life requires an eternal price.

If you would have 0 Blood Points, you always lose Conflicts and cannot use any Manipulations or cast Rituals.

These traits below are fluff traits, they are only important when defining Vampires.

Embrace

Vampires can turn humans and blood servants into Vampires, this is done by emptying the victim of all of their blood and simply giving them some of yours.

Does not Age

Vampires do not age, this makes them able to outlive the fulfillment of achievement. Dooming them forever to desire more, to do more, a destiny filled with insanity.

Sunlight Purges

Sunlight is what some call God’s punishment for humans fiddling with magic. Vampires have magical blood flowing through their veins making them essentially magical, the sun rectifies this by paralyzing and burning any vampire caught in its rays.

Sleep at Day

A way to avoid the dreaded sun, the sleeping rhythm of vampires is reversed. So as humans sleep at night, so does the vampire sleep during the day.

Fangs

The vampire can protrude fangs from its mouth in order to better drink the blood of its victims. Fangs are not often shown on Elysium, as it’s seen as a quirk of older times.

Duskborn

A Vampire’s body works in almost all regards like a humans, even the reproductive parts; this has over the course of time created plenty of offspring whose parents have been vampires. Though not physically different from other humans, some cultures revere them significantly. They are called Duskborn because some believe they were never truly alive.

You only add this Trait to your Character Sheet if one or more of your parents were members of the Undying Society.

Ghouls

Blood Servants are created when humans drink vampiric blood, creating a false loyalty to the Vampire. But if you mix blood from several Vampires and feed it to a human, that false loyalty is weeded out with the downside of not having its Domitors powers.

This creates Blood Servants without masters, also known as Ghouls, the eater of the dead.

Important! You cannot play a Ghoul outside of Clan Ghul.
